The Rules
1. Post the rules (Check!)
2. Answer the questions that the tagger asked of you and then make 10 questions of your own for other people to answer.
3. Tag ten people and link them in your post.
4. Let them know that you tagged them!
(I don't know if I'll be able to come up with ten people)
Here are the questions Jamie asked of me:
1.) If you could have one character be your book boyfriend/girlfriend for an entire week, who would it be?
Hmm off the top of my head right now I'd say Sodapop Curtis from The Outsiders. He's dreamy, sweet, funny, cares for his family and his friends, and can still be tough when he has to be
2.) If there was anywhere in the world you could travel, where would it be?
2.) If there was anywhere in the world you could travel, where would it be?
I would probably go to Australia.
3.) What book frustrated you the most?
3.) What book frustrated you the most?
Ohhhh there have been a few of those lately, most recently In My Shoes by Adrian Stephens that I reviewed a few days back.
4.) Do you re-read books?
4.) Do you re-read books?
Sometimes, but not really all that often
5.) Do you keep every book you have ever bought or do you sell them back? Give them away? Put them in storage?
5.) Do you keep every book you have ever bought or do you sell them back? Give them away? Put them in storage?
It depends on the book. By default, all my books have been stored at my dad's house for the last year and a half since I've been away. Now that I'm back I'm getting them out and going through them. I most likely am going to give a number of them away. Sometimes I do try to sell them but mostly I just donate them.
6.) Do you carefully arrange your books shelves in some sort of order? If so, what kind of order?
6.) Do you carefully arrange your books shelves in some sort of order? If so, what kind of order?
I try to arrange them in groups by author or size. I actually have to rearrange my shelves sometime this weekend as I just found my last box of books and need to put them away.
7.) Does your partner/family/friends think that you read too much?
7.) Does your partner/family/friends think that you read too much?
I think that my boyfriend thinks I'm a reading fiend, but he doesn't mind too much and even indulges me sometimes (when we are together anyway) by letting me spend lazy sundays reading.
8.) When you see a movie that is based on a book, would you rather see the movie first or read the book first? Why?
I'd have to say I'd rather read the book first. The books always have so much more details and movies often leave details out. Sometimes I like to make comparisons, sometimes the changes make me cringe, but I like to know the original story before a movie producer messes with it.

9.) Angels, Vampires, Werewolves or just regular old humans? Which do you prefer?
Can I say witches? I've developed a keen interest in stories with witchcraft and wicca in them in the last few years. I like the idea of strong (mainly) female characters with kickass powers. It's always fun to see the different directions authors can take the subject of witchcraft and wicca to as well.
10.) What book are you looking forward to the most in 2012?
This is easy, that's got to be Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness. I absolutely loved A Discovery of Witches and can't wait to see what happens next.
Okay, now for ten more questions:
1. What is the first book you absolutely had to have no matter what?
2. What is your favorite genre and why?
3. Are you participating in any book challenges this year? If so how many?
4. Who is your favorite author?
5.What prompted you to start your blog?
6. What is your favorite meal?
7. Can you read with background noise or do you need silence?
8. Do you ever read books with anyone else, be it a book club, significant other or friend?
9.What is the longest book you've ever read?
10.Worst book ever?
I don't think there's anyway I can come up with ten people to tag but here are a few.
