Fundraiser for Autism Awareness

Hello there fellow readers!

I was recently sent for review these two  wonderful books:

The Legend of Mickey Tussler

Sophomore Campaign: A Mickey Tussler Novel (Mickey Tussler, #2)

I have recently finished reading The Legend of Mickey Tussler and am going to be starting The Sophomore Campaign shortly, so you will see both of those reviews here on Melissa's Midnight Musings within the next couple of weeks. I can't wait to share my thoughts on these wonderfully well  written  books with you.

What I'd like to share with you now is a fundraiser that promotes Autism awareness and advocacy whose proceeds will benefit Best Buddies International. Read more about that below:

Frank Nappi, the author of "The Legend of Mickey Tussler" and "Sophomore Campaign," is donating part of the proceeds from the books to Best Buddies International.
In a blog, Nappi said, "In an effort to support greater autism advocacy and awareness, I am pleased to announce that with the sale of each paperback copy of The Legend of Mickey Tussler or Sophomore Campaign between Friday, July 6 and Friday, July 27 on Amazon.com, I will donate a portion of the proceeds to Best Buddies International - a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities."
The Mickey Tussler series chronicles the coming of age of a young pitching phenom with autism on a minor league baseball team during the 1940s.

You can also find out more about the author and his books by visiting his website

Keep an eye out for my reviews and please consider spreading the word and sharing the information about this awesome cause.

I will do my best to buy one of these. I am very limited in funds, being a single mother. My son was originally diagnosed with autism but later it was realized that he has Severe Anxiety Disorder with catastrophic thinking. As he is now 17, his matrity helps him to cope. I love it when I get an eyeroll or an Oh, Mom from him. The normal teenage irritation that most people take for granted. Good luck with your fundraing efforts. I contribute locally, but will do my best and will spread the word:)
