Review: Sailor Bean Adventures with Letters

Sailor Bean Adventures with Letters Sailor Bean Adventures with Letters by Kathleen Hegedus
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Melissa's Musings:

Now, I don't normally read a whole lot of kids books. Or enter giveaways for them. I passed that reading range long ago.

But, I've started to pick them up mainly because I have several nieces and nephews, who range in age from a few months old to teenagers. So, I like to read books in their ranges to see how kids writing has changed, and to pass them on to the young munchkins in my life if they'll be useful or fun for them.

This is a simple, fun book that teaches young kids the alphabet. Each of the letters has something to do with sailing, although this had to get very creative for the more difficult letters like Q, X, Y and Z. I think this book would be ideal for a child who loves the ocean, water or beach. All of the drawings are hand drawn and realistic rather than pristine, which gives this a nice touch. I'll definitely share this book with my young nieces and nephews.

*I won a copy of this book via Goodreads Giveaways*

This sounds cute. I also enter the occasional giveaway if I think it is something my little cousins would enjoy!
